You'd be hard pressed to find a group of more talented musicians like this on one stage. The Draga-Coots All-Stars is a select group, handpicked from super talented and dedicated entertainers to bring out the very best in talent and humor. These guys are in high demand throughout the country and are here to entertain for a solid two weeks. We’re talking about the very best of the best, live and in your face.   There’s just nothing like it.

This band is one of the hottest groups on the trad-jazz festival circuit, known for real traditional jazz - featuring the authentic classic stuff.   It’s refreshing to hear it the good old fashioned way - to include tubas and banjos.  But that’s not all; you will also hear Ragtime, Blues and Bar Room Ballads. Add to that, you can expect to hear some "MUSICAL SURPRISES" in the way of some good old time rock and roll, a touch of western and maybe an old fashioned sing along - all fun stuff.

This select group of super talented professionals also plays in other bands, always busy and in high demand.  Check out the links beside each band member and see for yourself.

Not only will you listen to superb live jazz daily, you'll visit some of the most beautiful areas on the planet. This is not a typical rushed whirlwind European tour, dragging suitcases on and off buses each day with endless city tours. Pack your bags only once. Stay in one modern Bavarian style hotel, located in the picturesque village of Grassau, nestled on the edge of the Alps between Munich and Salzburg. We will tour by luxurious motor coach daily to places of interest and later to return to our hotel. Our goal is to make this vacation your best ever.

Bob Draga - Clarinet & Band Leader:

During the past seven years, many jazz fans have known him as a member of the Titan Hot 7 Jazz Band, but clarinetist Bob Draga's professional career encompasses over thirty-five years of live performances (national and international) at jazz festivals, jazz cruises, and personal engagements. Bob has appeared regularly with the Titan Hot 7, Wally's Warehouse Waifs, and as a duo with Jeff Barnhart. A long association with the popular Garden Avenue Seven Jazz Band has brought this clarinetist to the forefront of jazz -- a position richly deserved. Bob's is a "fat sound," smooth and silky, using the entire range of the horn. His fluid tone reflects a mix of Irving Fazola and Benny Goodman, and his solos bristle with inventiveness and authority. Bob has led several all-star bands, was co-leader of the Draga-Vax Connection for three years. He has many recordings to his credit, including: Swing Sweet Clarinet, recorded with his own quartet; Rhapsody in Silver, as a featured soloist with Mr. Jack Daniel's Original Silver Cornet Band; and Mood Swings, which was recorded with a symphony orchestra. He also appears on several recordings with the Titan Hot 7 Jazz Band of Nashville, TN, including Jam in Music City and Never the Same Way Once. In addition to playing superb clarinet, Bob presents an almost wicked brand of humor. He may make you cry, laugh, roar, or applaud wildly, but he will surely move you to emotion. It's no wonder that Bob Draga is one of the busiest musicians on the trad. jazz circuit today. To hear Bob in a live performance, click here: "I Love Paris"

Danny Coots - Drums & Band Leader:

When you watch Danny Coots play drums, it's hard to keep your eyes off him. He captures your attention as he radiates equal rhythm in his whole body as what comes out on the drums.  Though the drums take back stage on the stage, Danny is always center stage in his appearance and fun to watch.  Danny started playing drums at the age of 6 in northern New York 42 years ago. From that time he studied with Nick Baffaro, Rich Holly, Alan Koffman and Jim Peteresak in percussion. He continued his education at Crane School of Music and St. Lawrence University. Danny became adjunct faculty at St. Lawrence University, Clarkson University and Potsdam State University from the mid-1970s into the 1990s, while traveling and performing with David Amram, Ray Shiner, Daniel Pinkam, Herb Ellis, Will Alger, Jack Mayhew, Speigle Willcox, Mimi Hines, Phil Ford, Bob Darch, Terry Waldo, Pearl Kaufman and Arthur Duncan. Ten years ago, Danny moved to make his home in Nashville, Tennessee. There he joined the Jack Daniels Silver Cornet Band for 5 years, and helped to found the Titan Hot Seven while playing and recording with Dave Hungate, Bill Allred, Randy Reinhart, Ron Hockett, John Cocuzzi, John Sheridan, Dan Barrett, Allen Vache, Vince Giordano and Rebecca Kilgore, to name a few. Danny has recorded extensively in Nashville, New York and Los Angeles, having played drums on over 50 recordings, one of which received a Grammy in 2005. He has performed throughout the world, having appeared in 80 countries. Hear Danny in a live performce, click here: "Ragtime" "Rosetta"

Eddie Erickson – Guitar, Banjo & Vocalist:

Fast Eddie or The Singing Moustache has been a featured performer at banjo shows, conventions, private parties and jazz concerts.  In recent years, Eddie has been featured with Big Mama Sue at festivals, fairs and even the "Sancy Snow" Jazz Festival in France. Eddie is a respected and loved member of the jazz fraternity and one of the funniest performers on the jazz scene. Watch Eddie & Mamma Sue at the fair: "Dueling"

Dave Tatrow - Trumpet:

As leader and front man for Wally’s Warehouse Waifs, Dave is one of the country’s most popular Traditional Jazz trumpet players.  His career started in 1979 as a lead horn player for the nationally renowned New Reformations Band.  Over the past 30 years he has performed at virtually every major Traditional Jazz festival in the US.  By day, he’s the city manager of Otisville, Michigan. See Dave preform live with the Wally's Warehouse Waifs - wait to the end: "Wally's"

Jason Wanner - Piano:

Jason attended the University of Southern California with a major in jazz studies. He graduated the Sacramento Jazz Camp to become one of the camp's piano teachers. Jason has also taught at jazz camps in Mammoth Lakes, CA, and Helena, MT.  In 1998, Jason joined the Blue Street Jazz Band and has been performing all over the US and Canada ever since.  Jason recently received his degree in piano performance from Sacramento State University. Bobby Durham - Bass:

Bobby has been a versatile multi-instrumentalist and entertainer for more than 30 years, performing all over the USA and around the world.  Bobby worked as staff musician and entertainer in the Opryland Theme Park, on board the General Jackson showboat and at the Opryland Hotel as staff musician at Disney World.  During the last ten years, Bobby has been Cruise Director and Bandleader for Delta Queen Steamboats of Mid-America.
